Wow, what an insane response to the Hotel Icon boudoir party in October!! It was so insane that I had to book a second hotel on a different day to accomodate the 12 girls who signed up!! I'm sorry to all the ladies who wanted to get in but couldn't, so in order to make this service available to you I will be hosting another party in early January. Hello Ladies!

I wanted to let all you fine, GORGEOUS, women know that I am hosting a boudoir photoshoot party on October 10th at Hotel Icon. If you are looking for a special gift for your guy this is it!!! I am providing a BEAUTIFUL hotel suite at the Hotel Icon downtown. It is the 700sq ft Executive Suite and I am providing a professional make-up artist as well. If you are interested let me know. And did I mention I am offering the session at a discounted rate?!?! Yeah, I know....you better jump on it! Ha

I have a limit of 8 girls for the day and I now only have 4 spots left. Email me or call with questions. And no, you will not all pose together, lol. I went to school with both Sandra and Jason. Sandra was crazy about Jason but I don't think he realized what a good thing he had in front of him until after high school. I remember being in Art class our senior year and Sandra sat at the table one day and talked about Jason almost the entire time. It was pretty clear she was ga-ga over him. Well not much has changed since 1997, Sandra is still ga-ga for Jason and he's just as crazy about her! The only thing different is they're all grown up now, have a beautiful life and home together and one gorgeous little girl!!

Ever since I met Isabella I have wanted to take pictures of her. When Sandra told me she wanted me to do her 2nd birthday pics I was jumping for joy. This little princess is my best friend on our coffee dates and smiles for me all the time. Needless to say she has always melted my heart. So this past weekend the time finally came for us to work together and I was in awe at the love and gentleness this family posesses. It was so easy to capture the true essence of their love and their devotion to one another, their daughter and their family.

Sandra and Jason, working for y'all has touched my heart. Watching you guys interact with Isabella and eachother made me smile both while I was there, and while working on the photos. Thank you guys for the opportunity, it was a blessing. I hope for many more opportunities to work with you guys again in the future. You three are FABULOUS!!!

Prayers Needed

UPDATE: Aug 18th.
The doctors are going to be taking my friend out of his medically induced coma. The next 24 hours are critical. From the bottom of my heart I ask that you please take 30 seconds out of your day to talk to God and pray that He heals this family. His is a brother, a husband, a son and a father. He has people here who need and love him. Please pray for one of God's miracles because he needs it!!!

My very close friend of 25 years is in need of your prayers. Saturday night her husband was in a severe motorcycle accident and is currently in the care of the ICU ward at Memorial Hermann Hospital. He suffered multiple facial fractures, broken ribs and is in a coma. His brain is swelling and the doctors had to remove a clot and put him in a deeper coma to alleviate the swelling and prevent further damage to his brain. Please pray for his recovery. He and Erin have a 2 1/2 yr old little girl who needs her daddy. They were just married in April and were starting their lives as husband and wife. She is one of my best friends and I hate to see this happen to someone I love so dearly. Thank you all so much to everyone who has expressed their concern. Your thoughts and prayers are needed and appreciated. I will keep you updated as things progress.

My two gremlins love to help me bake, so this weekend the whole fam had a cupcake making party. True to form, I had my camera with me in order to document every moment of this messy experiment. Here are some of my faves from this little experience :0)

The Bug's Big Girl Bed

As much as I would have loved to have made a bed for my baby Bug, I'm pretty sure it wouldn't have come out near as nice as this. Andy and I went out last week and bought our lil princess her big girl bed, as she was getting waaaaay too big for her toddler bed. I had a vision in mind of what I wanted her room to look like. Sophisticated, yet girlie, was my goal. So here it is....the Bug's big girl bed!

Is it ok to be jealous when your 3 yr old has a nicer room than you? lol

My niece Madison celebrated her first birthday this past weekend. It was so much fun working with this little cutie and cake again :0) The rain threatened the festivities but luckily it stopped just in time for the party. Here is just a small handfull of shots I got of the party. The pinata was a riot. Uncle Ben had to finish the ole shortcake off for the kiddos!

Family Photos ~ year 2

Angi and Arron hired me last year to take pictures of them with their furry babies. Angi is a close friend to one of my recent brides so I've had the pleasure of working with these two on several occasions over the last year. Well with their youngest turning a year they were in much need of some updated family pictures. We met up late in the evening, trying to squeeze as much sunlight out as we could before it got too dark to work. As usual the dogs were a riot and Arron and Angi were so much fun to talk to and work with, you know dog-lover talk and all. Here are some of my favorites from our time together. Also, I have included a copy of the email I found in my inbox this afternoon from Angi and Arron and the pups. It honestly brought me to tears. It's words like these that validate my choice to photograph people and their memories.

Angi & Arron, your dedication to me as your photographer is heart warming. Thank you from the absolute bottom of my heart for your kind words and for the tears. They are ones of utter gratitude!!

Amber,
Once again you have really captured our devotion for our fur babies and love for each other. The Black and white of our teenager Ajah and her daddy is a great testament to where she loves to spend her time, in his lap. I know she has been the hardest one to get good pictures of the last two years, she is very camera shy. But you have a true talent for getting just the right shot of her. Her younger brother, our other teenager Bud; really acts like himself whenever you are around. The picture of him in the swimming pool,where he prefers to spend all of his time, is still one of everyone's favorites. This year's picture of him with his Harley bandanna is beautiful. Our baby is growing up so fast , it is hard to believe that Zazu is already a year old. We didn't bring either of his two favorite things to do, play basketball or ride his skateboard, hoping you could get some pictures of his face. The shot of him and me is perfect.Right down to how he is 90% of the time, with his tongue hanging out.
As far as getting Arron to smile, or dancing at Heather's wedding, kudos to you! He doesn't like to have his picture taken and yet around you he is relaxed and comfortable. We love the pictures you have taken of us over the last two years and look forward to many more years of you being our family photographer. Thanks for giving us great memories that will last a lifetime.
