Bridals and the Beach

I love being creative. The traditional bridal portrait is beautiful, it's classic, and above all....timeless! But as much as the traditional is beautiful, I always long to push the creative envelope and step outside the ordinary, or what is expected. I recently took two beautiful friends of mine down to Galveston for a fun and edgy bridal shoot. It was amazing all the buildings down there that offered such texture and color to what I was shooting. The people of Galveston are true warriors. I have never seen a group of people working so hard to get a city back together and better than ever. It was inspiring. Bethany was kind enough to bring her camera along with us to document me at work. I took roughly 500 pictures and narrowed those down to about 70 that I felt properly represented my work and the feel I was aiming for. Here are a few of our top pics. Enjoy!!

Sweet Little Laney-saurus

This kid has the most amazing angel face. She takes pictures with pure perfection and the amazing part is she doesn't even have to try. She makes what I do sooooo easy! I love her and her extreme curiosity!

Holy Hot Tamales!

Cristin + Archie = 3 words: HOTT HOTT HOTT!! What an amazing couple to photograph. Their passion for one another is undeniable. There was little effort on my part to capture emotion and attraction between these two. They made my job so easy. Thanks for letting me take your engagements, it was a treat!

Meet the AMAZING Bethany from BQ Images

It’s very rare you find someone who is both talented, genuine, beautiful and kind. Bethany is a very gifted photographer who encompasses all of those characteristics. I have been very blessed over the past year to be able to work with her and to call her my friend. She has been very generous in sharing her knowledge as well as lending herself to me when I needed a subject to shoot. Here are a few of my top picks from our very first shoot together. Thanks B for all your help, encouragement and support. You are a very dear friend :0)
