10 year old heartbreaker....*swoon* ~ Houston & Austin Child Photographer

This little cutie right here is going to be big someday. His daddy contacted me wanting to get some fun headshot style photographs. Seeing some of the snapshots David had taken of Jacob around the house I knew this guy would be hardcore and ready to work it for the camera....and boy did he!!! We met up in Houston, David brought his GORGEOUS classic Impala....not sure of the year David, help me out here....and we set up and started shooting. I didn't have to tell him how to pose or anything other than look away, look at me, now serious face. He was a natural!!
I had a blast Jacob. I can't wait for us to get together and do it again. I think your dad enjoyed it as much as you did, maybe more ;0)

Hey David, is that chair churrs? lol.

Oh and the best part, I told Jacob "boy one day you are going to drive the girls crazy" and his response was "like I do now?" lol. Priceless!! Love this kid!

the GORGEOUS hot rod!!!

My baby was in the paper!!!

My handsome little man was in this past Tuesday's Houston Chronicle. I submitted a photograph I had taken, you'll probably recognize it from a post back in May, and had totally forgotten about doing so. I got a call from my mom Tuesday afternoon asking me if I was aware that my son was in the paper. At first I was not sure why or how he would have been there, but then I remembered the submission a few weeks earlier. Well to make a long boring story, a little shorter but just as boring, his photograph was one of 3 that got printed!! Andy and I were so excited we scooped up any and every copy we could to save and to give out to fam. Here is a copy of the section of the paper he was in. Oh and did I mention that since my little man is so freakin' cute, he got the biggest picture!?!? LOL. That's probably the biased momma in me talking, but I don't care because someone at the Chronicle seems to agree :0)

Enjoy!

ArtBiker gets INKED!!!

I recently rolled on over to Epoch Tattoo Studio in Houston to photograph my photography professor getting his newest addition. It's quite nerve-racking photographing someone who you know is an extrememly gifted artist himself. Let's just say my hands didn't stop shaking for nearly half an hour :0P

But once the nerves calmed I was able to cut up and joke and get some pretty cool shots. Most importantly the guy who gives me the grades liked 'em too!

Savannah & the firecracker Vivian :0)

All I can say about lil miss Vivian is that Independent Women should be her theme song! She was a little spitfire and definitely kept me on my toes. Savannah was a natural infront of the camera! I loved shooting her!!

Thanks Lisa for letting me capture your two princesses. I know you were worried, but I think we captured what we were looking for :0) What can we say she's a 2 1/2 year old with a mind of her own.

Little Miss Viv had had enough.....but thanks to a nice couple with a dog, we were able to salvage a few more smiles and finish the shoot off with a sweet sister and sister shot :0)

My Boxer Babies

These two hams are my first born babies. Sayde, who is 9, still thinks she's a puppy and Moose, my 7 1/2 year old handsome boy is old beyond his years. I don't think I've ever mentioned my pups in a blog before and the reason I do now is to ask for your prayers for my two guys over the next few weeks. I took them both in to see the vet yesterday concerning some growths they've had for some time that look suspicious and my Moose has been limping for a few weeks off and on. Well it looks like my little man may have torn his ACL in his rear leg and has a tumor that concerns the doc. Kind of the same story for my Sayde, minus the ACL injury, except her tumor has caused major concern above all the other issues I brought my two in for yesterday. A mass cell tumor is what the vet is thinking may be growing on her chest (which you can see in the picture of her below). Please pray for my guys over the next few weeks as they are both scheduled for surgery to remove these grows next week and Moose will follow up with another surgery to repair his leg in the coming weeks. They are reaching the senior years for their breed and I just hope that they stay with us for several more. I guess I never stopped to think about how old they were getting until yesterday. It was a sad day and I just hope that we will get them through this and they will stick around for a while longer!

Here are my babies....white faces and all :0)

He prefers to lay around these days....such sadness in those eyes :0(

My Modeling Bug

If mommy wants to take pictures I have to be willing to compromise....and in this case my Bug LOOOOVES to climb on furniture. So we met in the middle. She got to climb and I got to snap a couple of photos. It only lasted about 5 minutes before she told me "I mad now. I no want any mo pitchas" LOL. So here are my 2 faves of what I was able to get. I know this may be a biased comment but I'm going to say it anyway....she's the most beautiful baby girl on the planet!!!

The Goins Brood

I met Nikki a long time ago through my best friend. We had lost touch, as many people do when they get married, have kids and get caught up in their lives. Nikki had gotten in touch with my bestie a few months back and my Jennifer mentioned I was working as a photog now. Well being as how Nikki and her clan were long overdue for some photos she was more than happy to enlist my services. I had a great time working with this beautiful family and enjoyed catching up.

Thank you Nikki and Mark for letting me into your home to capture these memories. You guys have a beautiful home and some pretty amazing children. I look forward to a long lasting relationship between us and to working for you many more times to come! Ladies and gents...meet the Goins!

Watermelon & the birthday of the GREAT US of A.

My two monsters loved making a mess with the watermelon!! We made strawberry ice cream too, but momma didn't get any pictures of that :0( they were so messy from the watermelon I was in pro-active clean mode.
As you can tell by the look on Zander's face, he LOVED the fireworks! As for the bug...well she decided to hide...better luck next year. :0)

Hawai'i Photos :0)

This will no doubt probably be the longest blog ever. It turns out I took over 1800 photos during our trip and of those I narrowed it down (with great difficulty) to roughly 200 that I wanted to share. All the pictures I took are available to view in a proofing gallery. Please email me for the password to view. amber@zaseyphotography.com
All I can say is Hawai'i has forever ruined Texas for me.

Here are the pics.....Enjoy :0)
