Family Fun with the McRays

Meet the beautiful McRay family. Their little man was extrememly shy at first, and I was warned by his momma that he may not warm up to me. Well after about 10 minutes of chit chat with the little guy I asked if he liked to fish....and that did the trick. We were instant friends!! Little Claire Bear was good for anything...I just fell in love with her chubby cheeks :0)

Shelby, hooray, the wind worked in our favor!! Haha

We are Open for Business!!

The new wedding site is LIVE!!!!!!!! It went online last night around midnight and I couldn't be more excited about sharing my recent wedding ventures with you! The site is still in its early phases and I have an entire wedding that I shot a couple weeks ago that is still in production and is missing from the galleries, but there's still plenty for you to look at. I will be adding a bio section for myself and my assistant as well as more images from my most recent wedding over the next couple of weeks.

I also want to say thank you to all my friends and family who believed in me and pushed me to step out into this big world of weddings. Without your love and encouragement I don't think I would have ever had the courage to do it! I love you all very much!

Won't You Meet My Neighbor!

My FANTABULOUS neighbors asked me to take some long overdue family photos of them before baby #3 makes her debut this month. After a long commute next door and a few hundred photos later I think I have successfully captured this family in their true essence, in their own home, doing everyday things. It was fantastic to work for them and to photograph their love and interaction with one another.

Thanks Emily, Vince, Harper and Greer! I had a TERRIFIC time! You guys are the greatest neighbors!!! Love y'all!

Seeing Ghosts!!!! HaHaHa!

I just thought I'd share with you my new favorite picture. This is the result of a series of test shots I was taking during Cristin's bridal session. She was actually nowhere near me at the time I took the picture but her shadow appeared in the mirror. Creepy. She's convinced the place is haunted...I'm conviced that this is the GREATEST picture ever!!!!

Also, I've been hard at work on the new wedding website for the past several weeks. I'm squeezing in time between spending time with my kiddos and fam, photoshoots and my never ending school obligations. I hope to have it live and online in the next 2 weeks!

Uh-May-Zing Bridal Session....

I Repeat: UH-MAY-ZING!!! My good friend Cristin, who I have had the pleasure of taking engagements for, hired me to take her bridal portraits. She booked me about 3 months in advance and I've been waiting ever-so-patiently, counting down the days until I could photograph this GORGEOUS friend of mine!

Well, our day finally came!!!!!

I am still waist deep in photos to edit....there were sooooooo many good ones I pretty much had to keep them all to give her....so here is a handfull of shots to hold you over until the big unveiling of the new wedding site in a few weeks!

The UHCL BFA Art Opening!

The UHCL art opening for the graduating BFA students was last night and what a fun and inspiring experience. I love being surrounded by so many amazingly creative people. I am grateful to the many friends and family that came out in support of my work. Without your love and faith in me I don't think I'd be where I am today. I love you all very much!!!

Here's to hopefully many more art openings in what I hope to be a lasting career in photography!

My Superman Turns 4!!!

It's hard to believe that my baby boy is 4 years old today!! Time has never flown as quickly as it has since having kids. It's sad that the moments pass by so fast and before you know it they're celebrating their first steps, their first words and their first birthday.

Wow! What a night!

I just shot a wedding this afternoon and after standing in heels for 8 hours with only a 5 minute "cake break" and a slice of bread to keep me going I'm determined to put a dent in these photos tonight!!! With each wedding experience I find myself determined to push myself creatively and really dive into my work! Thanks to my lovely assistant today for having that water bottle handy. You knew I was thirsty even though I didnt....creepy :0P I can't wait for the world to see some of my most exciting work yet!!!

I figure I will put in a few more hours of post-production time before hiding a few eggs for my angels then head on off to sleepy-sleepy land! Moms run off pure oxygen, not sleep, right? HaHa

Finally!!! Erin's Bridals!!!!!

I have been patiently waiting to put these bridals on the site, and since tomorrow is the big day I finally get to :0)
This place was absolutely gorgeous and it definitely didn't hurt that the bride was amazing in front of the camera!

2009 UHCL BFA Art Exhibition

The 2009 BFA graduates for the University of Houston Clear Lake will have works featured at the UHCL Art Gallery beginning April 13th, 2009. Yours truly is one of 3 students who was chosen to have 2 pieces selected for the exhibition, so you can imagine my excitement! Please stop by the artist reception night on April 15th from 5-7 p.m. at the University of Houston Clear Lake Bayou building.
